A TikTok sound is an excerpt of a song or other piece of audio available on the TikTok platform.
If it's a song, it was probably a distributor who added the sound to TikTok. If it's a voice or other piece of audio, the sound was probably recorded directly into the TikTok video, or added by a TikTok user who uploaded it from their phone's storage when creating a video in the TikTok app.
If your sound is available on TikTok
If your sound is available on TikTok, you can try to search for the name of the sound or the artist in the search bar in our campaign tool. Note that not all sounds can be found by our search tool, even though they’re available on TikTok.
If you can’t find the sound you’re looking for, you’ll need to copy the sound link from the TikTok platform and add it to your campaign. See the steps below on how to get your TikTok sound link:
📱Via TikTok app (mobile)
- Open the TikTok app and navigate to the searcharea
- Search for the artist and/or songname you wish to promote
- After searchresults appear, go the the Sounds tab and open your desired sound
- Tap the “share” button in the top right corner and then choose “copy link”
Done!
🖥️Via TikTok website (desktop)
- Make sure the sound has been used in a TikTok video
- Navigate to the specific video at tiktok.com and tap the sound in the right sidebar
- This will bring you to the soundpage which has an web address in this format: https://www.tiktok.com/music/sound-name-1234567890
- Copy the address, done!
